If you take a bus, the Q-Line down Woodward or the People Mover around Downtown Detroit, there is a way to make that trip easier. The RTA has launched a partnership with Transit app. The app lets you check schedules, plan trips and get real-time alerts. It works for DDOT, SMART and the Detroit People Mover.  To talk more about the app and its features, Ben Stupka, the executive director of the RTA, joined Local 4 Live.

For the first time, riders can now use a single app to navigate all public transportation options in Southeast Michigan. The Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan announced Wednesday a partnership with Transit App, a mobile application that helps users navigate public transportation. It offers real-time bus and train tracking, trip planning and service alerts.

The Regional Transit Authority has announced a partnership with the Transit app which is expected to simplify and enhance the transit experience for riders across Southeastern Michigan. WWJ's Tony Ortiz talked with RTA Executive Director Ben Stupka.
