About the Citizens Advisory Committee

تعمل اللجنة الاستشارية للمواطنين (CAC) بناءً على توجيهات مجلس إدارة هيئة الطرق والمواصلات، وهي مُنشأة بموجب التشريعات التمكينية للهيئة. يُطلب من اللجنة تقديم المشورة للهيئة بشأن قضايا النقل المتعلقة بمجتمعات الأعضاء، وتقديم اقتراحات لتحسين خدمات النقل، والدعوة إلى زيادة تمويل النقل العام.

تتألف اللجنة من أعضاء من كل مقاطعة يمثلون شرائح مهمة من مستخدمي وسائل النقل العام. وقد حُدد تشكيل اللجنة وهدفها في قانون هيئة النقل البري رقم 387 لعام 2012، وهو القانون التمكيني لهيئة النقل البري.

Interested in joining?

The CAC meets bimonthly on the second Monday of the month. Regular attendance is expected. Members have the opportunity to volunteer for subcommittees and advisory roles as liaisons to major RTA planning projects. Beyond general membership meetings, CAC members are expected to contribute at least five additional hours every month in public engagement and education activities.
