123 St. Eau Claire WI 54701

The Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan (RTA) is preparing to release their Section 5310 Call for Projects for FY2025-2026.

Have a question? Need assistance with the application? Please join us for an office hours session that will provide applicants the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and receive guidance on the application process.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA)’s Section 5310 Program is meant to enhance mobility, remove transportation barriers, and expand mobility options for seniors and individuals with disabilities. As the designated recipient of the Section 5310 funds apportioned by FTA to the Detroit and Ann Arbor urbanized areas, the RTA is responsible for administering Section 5310 funds to those areas.

Eligible applicants under RTA’s 5310 Program include subrecipients, which include private non-profit organizations, local government authorities, and public and private providers of public transportation as well as the four current direct recipients (DDOT, SMART, AAATA, and Detroit Transportation Corporation [DTC]). Please note: Organizations located in the non-urbanized areas of the RTA region apply to MDOT for Section 5310 funding.

This invitation is for the first of two office hours sessions. If you are unable to attend this one on January 29th, please note there will be another one held on Thursday, February 6th at 2pm.
