Many DDOT routes begin or end at downtown’s Rosa Parks Transit Center. Rosa Parks Transit Center has indoor and outdoor seating, bus bays for easy route identification, and a Detroit People Mover stop. Riders further from downtown can easily transfer between lines at the Jason Hargrove Transit Center, located at 1121 W. Eight Mile Rd in Detroit on the grounds of the historic Michigan State Fairgrounds. The Center serves routes 4, 12, 17, 30, and 54, as well as a number of SMART routes.
Accessibility Features
DDOT offers a safe, convenient, and comfortable experience for all riders. DDOT ADA Compliance includes wheelchair accessibility, announcement of major stops, accessible schedules, and paratransit options.
If you need additional help to travel, reach the DDOT ADA Coordinator at 313-316-2793 or DDOT-ADA@detroitmi.gov.
Detroit transit riders can also make use of the Connector shuttle and Accessibili-D service, which are both free.
