The Board of Directors is the body that makes final decisions about the RTA’s operations. The RTA’s 10-member board is appointed for three-year terms by the Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County executives, the chair of the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners, the Mayor of Detroit, and the Governor of Michigan.
