The RTA is working with SMART, DDOT, and the Detroit People Mover to establish a pilot regional service along Woodward and Gratiot Avenues.

This limited-stop service will provide a faster, enhanced connection between the city and the suburbs without the need to transfer.

All local SMART and DDOT routes on Woodward and Gratiot Avenues will continue to operate normally with existing stops and schedules.

This pilot service is funded outside of the proposed RTA millage and Regional Transit Master Plan. It is not related to the Woodward Avenue or Gratiot Avenue Bus Rapid Transit projects.

This service is targeted to start September 2016.

This presentation was given at Public Hearings on May 25th, 2016.
